My father was from Springhill. By the way, "Gogan" can be a French name or an Irish name--two different origins and I assum entirely unrelated. My name came from Goguen, and before that, Gueguen. It is a French Acadian name from New Brunswick, Canada. Apparently, they came from Brittany, France before coming to North America.
